Nesma & Partners is seeking an Estimation Engineer - Civil to join their team in Dammam. This is a full-time position designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience in civil estimation. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's project success through accurate cost analysis and bid preparation.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Lead Estimator in the evaluation and reporting of project cost estimates, tendering, and bidding activities. The Estimation Engineer will ensure all activities align with the overall Estimation strategy, contributing to successful and profitable project outcomes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out consistently.
• Research and analyze current prices of construction materials, equipment, labor rates, and relevant costs in Saudi Arabia to create a database of competitive rates.
• Implement comprehensive quantity take-off and review direct cost estimates to contribute to the completeness of overall project costs.
• Study the project scope of work, client requirements, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), project milestones, and specifications from supplied bid documents.
• Provide support to the Lead Estimator by conducting Quantity Surveying (QS) activities to create detailed cost estimates and error-free estimation packages.
• Collate information to create quotations, consolidating details on sources and brand specifications to support informed decision-making.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering global standards, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, complying with internal policies and guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Tender and Bidding Implementation

• Study project scope, client requirements, project milestones, specifications, and drawings from bid documents to prepare the BOQ and address any exclusions or deviations.
• Prepare the bid submission, ensuring all supplemental information is included, accurate, and delivered on time, facilitating coordination with Business Development, Project Controls, and Construction teams.
• Create the bid preparation schedule, ensuring all technical and commercial deliverables are included for processing, upholding accuracy, and ensuring completeness.
• Examine accepted tenders to evaluate their alignment with project requirements, assisting in informed decision-making throughout the project.
• Compile and distribute bidding documentation, including drawings, specifications, Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Q&A, and quotations, to support a streamlined bidding process and effective cost estimates.
• Analyze and prepare equipment, material, and manpower breakdowns, ensuring all items impacting bid price are recorded in support of the construction schedule.
• Check all addendums and communications with clients, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed and clarified to facilitate an accurate bid.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in civil estimation or a related field.
