About the Role

Group AMANA is seeking a Jr. Planning Engineer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of design and build projects across industrial, commercial, and data center sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with various project teams to ensure effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contract and tender documents to understand scheduling requirements, key milestones, reporting obligations, and contractual notices.
• Prepare and maintain tender, baseline, look-ahead, micro, and recovery schedules using Primavera P6.
• Ensure project schedules are accurate, logically sequenced, resource loaded, and aligned with approved construction methodology and project requirements.
• Monitor actual progress through site visits, daily construction reports, timesheets, completed quantities, and regular coordination with site teams.
• Update schedules to reflect actual progress, revisions, variations, acceleration measures, delays, and recovery plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, resource histograms, cash in and cash out curves, and schedule presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor productivity, planned versus actual performance, critical activities, and project milestones, highlighting any schedule variances or areas of concern.
• Identify potential delays and project risks, communicate their impact to the Project Manager, and recommend appropriate mitigation and recovery strategies.
• Conduct delay analysis and support the Contracts team in preparing Extension of Time claims, including impacted schedules, narratives, methodologies, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Cost Control, Quantity Surveying, and Contracts teams to ensure effective project planning and time management.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain progress updates and ensure their activities remain aligned with the overall project schedule.
• Participate in site progress and coordination meetings, follow up on planning actions, and provide clear schedule updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate planning records, reports, productivity data, and schedule updates within the approved project filing system.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong technical planning capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
• Solid understanding of project controls, construction sequencing, contractual requirements, and delay analysis.
