Job Description
About Tech Pipeline and the Role
Tech Pipeline assists operations teams by addressing technical challenges within business processes, specifically focusing on data friction and manual handoffs. We are seeking a Junior Automation Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, fully remote position based in Dammam, Eastern region, requiring 0-1 years of experience. In this role, you will help identify points where information flow is hindered and develop practical solutions to enable teams to move forward efficiently.
Role Focus and Contribution
The Junior Automation Specialist will investigate how data moves between various software platforms, particularly where existing tools no longer align with actual team workflows. This involves examining information flow between departments to pinpoint instances of manual data entry or email-based approval requests. The position emphasizes a focus on ground truth, requiring analysis of actual logs and configurations rather than high-level assumptions, to bridge the gap between current tools and necessary tasks, ensuring client systems are simple enough for independent operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily system logs to identify where automated triggers are failing or timing out.
- Build and test routing rules to ensure data reaches the correct destination without manual intervention.
- Update technical documentation and standard operating procedures to reflect workflow changes.
- Assist with the monthly reconciliation of data between operations and finance systems.
- Monitor active pipelines during the initial weeks of live operation to catch and fix errors.
- Identify specific integration gaps that cause backlogs in client target achievement.
- Draft clear, concise status updates that explain technical fixes to system users.
- Map current manual processes to help the team decide which steps are ready for automation.
Candidate Requirements
- A logical mindset and the ability to follow a piece of data through a complex process.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when checking for small errors in logs or spreadsheets.
- Basic familiarity with how different software applications communicate with each other.
- Comfort working in a remote environment where most coordination happens through writing and documentation.
- The ability to explain how a technical rule works in plain, simple English.
- A willingness to spend time untangling messy files and fixing broken configurations.
- Reliable time management skills to handle tasks without needing constant oversight.
Desirable Background and Role Benefits
While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience may find it beneficial:
- Any experience with no-code automation tools or basic scripting logic.
- Previous work in a customer support or operations role where technical problems were solved for users.
- Exposure to business software such as inventory management systems or basic databases.
This full-time position offers permanent employment within a stable and growing technical field, competitive pay attractive for junior specialists, and a fully remote work arrangement. It provides practical experience working on real-world problems for a regional industrial leader, within a work culture that prioritizes deep focus and clear documentation over excessive meetings.
Tech Pipeline Work Culture
Working at Tech Pipeline means focusing on the actual system realities. The company relies heavily on weekly updates and written documentation to keep everyone informed, allowing team members to work independently and remotely without the friction of a traditional office. The approach involves fixing problems, ensuring new systems are stable, and then handing over control to clients. This requires a disciplined approach to building and documenting work to ensure smooth transitions. This environment is suited for individuals who enjoy solving practical puzzles and making technical systems work more reliably for their users.
