About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Engineer for Fleet Management to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves supporting the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty gas turbines and associated systems. The role requires a proactive approach to technical issue resolution and customer engagement within the energy technology sector.

Role Context and Responsibilities

As a Lead Product Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining Baker Hughes' product integrity. This involves identifying customer issues, investigating technical anomalies, and providing technical assessments at both component and system levels. You will communicate technical solutions to customers and act as a liaison between field and design engineering teams to drive corrective actions.

• Respond to customer requests for technical issue resolution, applying product knowledge and engineering principles.
• Escalate issues as needed and facilitate communication between field and design engineering.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships to ensure technical requirements are understood and addressed.
• Lead and manage root cause analysis investigations for product technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership to teams supporting customer issue resolution projects.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to Baker Hughes leadership and customers.
• Travel to customer sites to support technical reviews, present recommendations, and assist with unplanned outages.
• Provide technical support to commercial teams for sales and services proposals.
• Plan and provide technical engineering oversight during planned outages to meet reliability and availability goals.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and suppliers to implement fleet program technical solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electronics / Control & Instrumentation / Electrical & Electronics) or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in design engineering, or operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty gas turbines and associated auxiliaries.
• Availability to travel 20-25% of the time on short notice.
• Willingness to work during weekends for emergency technical support.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Region. The role involves working with customers on-site in various global locations. Flexible working hours are offered, and opportunities for extended leave may be available between project completions. Applicants must have work authorization in Saudi Arabia.
