Machinist

About the Role

A Prominent Regional Corporate Firm in JV - Oil & Gas is seeking a Machinist to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves setting up, operating, and supporting machining activities within an assigned production cell. The Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing and remanufacturing critical Oil & Gas components, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality requirements, and production schedules. The position requires 2-5 years of experience and operates under the guidance of a Lead Machinist or Cell Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned CNC and conventional machines safely and efficiently.
• Verify machine readiness, load jobs, fixtures, and tooling according to approved setup instructions.
• Monitor machining operations, make permitted offset adjustments, and report machine abnormalities immediately.
• Manufacture and repair precision-machined components, performing turning, milling, boring, drilling, threading, facing, and related operations.
• Follow approved machining procedures and work instructions, supporting urgent customer requirements and high-priority production jobs.
• Ensure proper handling of workpieces, tooling, and fixtures.

Quality and Productivity

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process dimensional checks and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure produced components meet customer and company quality standards.
• Meet daily production targets, minimize machine downtime, and reduce setup delays and machining inefficiencies.
• Support machine utilization improvement initiatives and maintain accurate production records.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Continuous Improvement

• Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
• Assist in reducing machining cycle times and participate in problem-solving activities.
• Provide improvement suggestions related to machining processes and productivity.

Candidate Requirements

• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to work rotational shifts when required.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in machining Oil & Gas components is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with API, ISO, and customer-specific manufacturing requirements is an added advantage.
