About Jadeer Logistics and the Role

Jadeer Logistics is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and availability of transportation assets, including vehicles, equipment, and supporting infrastructure. The position ensures that all assets operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, minimizing downtime and extending asset life.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing maintenance strategies to support overall business performance. Core purposes include ensuring maximum fleet availability and reliability, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and optimizing asset lifecycle and performance.

Strategic and Operational Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for both strategic planning and day-to-day operational oversight:

  • Develop and implement the fleet maintenance strategy, including fleet lifecycle planning for replacement and disposal.
  • Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve fleet reliability, availability, and overall performance.
  • Drive the use of CMMS, telematics, and other maintenance technologies.
  • Identify maintenance risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Manage preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities, developing schedules and ensuring timely execution.
  • Monitor fleet availability, downtime, breakdowns, and recurring failures, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee workshop operations, including tools, spare parts, tires, and inventory management.
  • Manage warranties, dealers, third-party vendors, and mobile maintenance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, inspection, and certification requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, KPIs, and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Support asset customization, manpower planning, and provide recommendations for asset disposal.

Financial Management and Cost Control

A key aspect of this role involves managing the financial performance of maintenance operations:

  • Develop and manage the overall maintenance budget.
  • Control costs related to repairs, spare parts, labor, and external services.
  • Monitor key financial metrics such as cost per vehicle, cost per kilometer, and total cost of ownership.
  • Manage vendor contracts to achieve cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Improve asset utilization and reduce costs associated with breakdowns.

Leadership and Team Development

The Maintenance Manager will lead and develop the maintenance team to achieve operational excellence:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Ensure high standards of safety, technical quality, and productivity within the team.
  • Assess team capabilities and provide required training and development.
  • Drive accountability, continuous improvement initiatives, and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate effectively with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this full-time Maintenance Manager position should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance management, preferably within the logistics or transportation sector.
