Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Industries (AQPCI) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of mechanical elements within the workplace. The engineer will be responsible for evaluating machine conditions and components to assess efficiency and propose improvements for enhanced performance across all product stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle product development, including design, development, prototype testing, manufacturing, and implementation.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and inspections.
• Perform calculations and analysis.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Design systems and components that meet specified needs and requirements.
• Produce outline designs.
• Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
• Source vendors and finalize technical details in accordance with business needs.
• Initiate and manage moderate project Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Achieve working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, production, and quality personnel.
• Prepare product reports and documentation.
• Provide timely practical support to site engineering teams for resolving issues and clarifications.
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs.
• Evaluate the final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety.
• Alter and modify designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions.
• Solicit observations from operators.
• Engage in continuous learning and develop new methods.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role.
• Practical experience with CAD software.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction principles.
• Solid understanding of core mechanical engineering concepts, including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
