The Role of Sales Supervisor

PepsiCo is seeking a Sales Supervisor to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a sales team, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, and overseeing the efficient execution of sales strategies and operational standards within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all short-term and long-term sales targets for the assigned area are met or exceeded.
  • Supervise sales routes through regular visits, ensuring compliance with SSFL execution standards and target achievement.
  • Lead, develop, organize, control, and motivate the sales team to achieve objectives in execution, revenues, market share, and people development.
  • Drive sales productivity and achieve volume targets by implementing company plans and strategies.
  • Update and utilize database information to measure area performance, analyze business trends, and develop future action plans.
  • Conduct volume forecasting for designated areas and channels.
  • Collaborate with stockists to enhance customer service and execution efficiency.
  • Conduct and ensure compliance with FLSMP activities, including work-with sessions, Route Control, 1:1 meetings, and formal weekly meetings.
  • Ensure Household (HH) Integrity by examining reports and implementing corrective actions.
  • Perform regular market visits to monitor market changes and legislative requirements, communicating these to the Regional/Sales Manager.
  • Ensure proper understanding and timely implementation of the company’s product promotional plans across all routes.
  • Manage administrative transactions for the location, including stock, returnable cases, and the daily sales invoicing cycle.
  • Select, train, develop, and follow up on sales personnel to meet departmental standards and needs.
  • Ensure all Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) comply with Ownership on Route (OOR) through regular follow-up and on-job coaching.
  • Oversee field performance management, including adaptation of optimized routes, managing Point of Purchase (POP) materials, stand planning, preparing RSR turnover reports, applying the Code of Conduct, and ensuring RSR awareness of PepsiCo values.
  • Develop strong relationships with stockists, key wholesale, and Off-Trade (OT) customers within the location, coordinating on call coverage and customer service standards.
  • Expand distribution within the area in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) business plan.
  • Ensure proper execution of all new product initiatives, merchandising, and operational priorities.
  • Achieve Key Field Sales KPIs, including distribution targets (depth and breadth), upgrading execution on primary and secondary placements, and implementing price and promotion strategies.
  • Supervise the administrative and control agenda within the field, maintaining control over key KPIs, ensuring effective monitoring processes, creating and ensuring compliance with accounting, inventory, and control procedures, resolving service and supply issues, and reporting sales force activities.
  • Report competitive activities to the Regional/Sales Manager as they occur and ensure compliance with the SSFL Control Agenda and Control Responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a sales supervision or similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance measurement, business analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in implementing sales plans, promotional strategies, and operational standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships and reporting.
  • Capability to manage administrative tasks and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and involves working within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The position requires regular field visits and direct supervision of sales representatives to ensure operational excellence and target achievement.
