About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a Saw Expander Operator for a full-time position in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for the steel pipe manufacturing process, focusing on the precise operation and maintenance of saw expander machinery to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute changeovers and set up the saw expander machine according to production requirements.
• Perform expander operations, including pipe expansion and sizing.
• Verify the dimensions of expanded pipes to ensure they meet specifications.
• Report any production stoppages promptly to relevant personnel.
• Change and control machine tools and consumables, ensuring their continuous availability.
• Assist with machine lock-outs and tag-outs, and perform operative maintenance tasks.
• Update information accurately in tracking systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in operating saw expander machines, preferably within the steel pipe industry.
• Demonstrated ability to perform machine setups and changeovers efficiently.
• Proficiency in verifying expanded pipe dimensions and ensuring quality control.

Required Skills

• Good command of English for speaking and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying dimensions.
• Ability to perform basic operative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Capable of working effectively within a production environment.
