Senior Civil Engineer (Mega Civil Project)

About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Project and Construction Management team. This full-time position is based in the Eastern region, with opportunities in Riyadh and Dammam, and falls within the Infrastructure Division. The role requires specialized expertise in Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, specifically those involving roads, highways, bridges, underpasses, tunnels, and associated urban infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to road works and will act as the primary point of contact between the Civil Engineering department and the Technical Manager. Responsibilities include:

• Resolving design issues or coordinating them with home office support.
• Providing technical advice on design changes.
• Overseeing the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Conducting a final review of all Contractor’s relevant documentation, drawings, and submittals to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assessing and reporting technically on Value Engineering proposals.
• Maintaining technical control of all road works and coordinating with other discipline specialists (structures, drainage, ITS, materials) and quality control personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically on mega civil projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in roads, highways, bridges, underpasses, tunnels, and associated urban infrastructure.
• Experience in quality control, drawing revision, value engineering, and technical construction method revision and follow-up.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with various senior specialties.
