About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior EHS Manager to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is generally based in a shared service capacity, supporting multiple activities and potentially different service businesses. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and involves significant contribution to setting priorities within the functional area.

Role Context and Impact

This role is for subject matter experts who manage Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) teams across multiple sites or operations. It impacts approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area or organization, influencing the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the team. The role operates with moderate autonomy, requiring a high level of operational judgment and contributes to the development and implementation of strategies and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage QSE teams across multiple sites or operations, focusing on specific customer business sectors such as oil and gas, utilities, or commercial.
  • Develop specialized knowledge in the EHS discipline and provide advice on best practices and quality.
  • Stay informed about the latest technical developments in the field and contribute to the development of strategies and policies.
  • Ensure the implementation of policies within the area of responsibility.
  • Exercise judgment in making decisions and solving moderately complex tasks or problems in operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Adopt new perspectives on existing solutions, utilizing technical experience and data analysis expertise to support recommendations.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and potentially lead small projects with moderate risk and resource needs.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information and strive to build consensus.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices and how their area integrates with others.
  • Working knowledge of the competition and market differentiators.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Established project management skills.

Work Type
