About the Opportunity

Cummins Arabia is seeking a Service Technician (Saudization) to join our team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for a customer-facing technical specialist with 2-5 years of experience, focusing on advanced service and maintenance of power generation systems at customer sites.

Role Summary

The Service Technician operates as a highly proficient technical specialist, responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, complex problem-solving, troubleshooting, and intricate repairs on all components of power generation systems. This includes rebuilds and preventative maintenance, all while adhering to established procedures and guidelines to enhance service workshop knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and continually develop productive customer relations, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete diagnostics, complex repairs, and assembly/disassembly of power generation units.
• Identify and prepare required parts, tools, and support equipment for system uptime and diagnosis of downtime failures.
• Identify technical issues and implement preventive actions, escalating unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisors as needed.
• Complete all required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Communicate effectively with assigned teams and all support teams.
• Maintain service vehicles and tools to ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
• Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental and Quality training policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to the supervisor.

Technical Leadership and Development

• Provide independent training or introductions on product promotion, usage, and maintenance to field customers.
• Coach less experienced technicians, facilitating knowledge transfer and providing work direction.
• Lead, deliver, and contribute to Toolbox Talks.
• Support the Service Manager in enhancing the team's overall service capability by regularly consolidating and internally sharing complex technical issue cases.
• Identify opportunities for work process improvements and assist management in fostering a team focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in servicing power generation systems. A strong background in applying documented technical procedures for diagnostics and complex repairs is essential. The role requires a commitment to continuous learning and completing training aligned with job skill level and business requirements.
