Sofa Production Manager (Upholstered Furniture)

About the Role

H. M. Al Rugaib & Sons Trading Co is seeking a Sofa Production Manager (Upholstered Furniture) to oversee all stages of sofa and upholstered furniture manufacturing. This full-time role is based in Dammam and Al Khobar and involves managing production operations from frame construction through to final quality inspection, ensuring efficiency, high product quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all production departments, including carpentry, frame construction, fabric cutting, sewing, upholstery, and packaging, to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Ensure all raw materials, such as wood, foam, fabrics, and leather, meet company specifications and quality standards.
• Develop daily and weekly production plans to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
• Optimize production efficiency and minimize waste of raw materials and consumables.
• Assign tasks to carpenters, upholsterers, sewing operators, and production workers; monitor performance and provide training on manufacturing techniques.
• Ensure regular maintenance of cutting machines, sewing machines, and other production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve product quality.
• Ensure compliance with factory safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in sofa manufacturing, upholstered furniture production, woodworking, or furniture factory management.
• Strong technical knowledge of wood types (*, beechwood, plywood), foam types and densities, upholstery fabrics, leather, and their durability standards.
• Proven ability to manage production teams, organize workflows, and achieve production targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage production challenges and peak workloads.
• Experience in implementing quality standards, controlling material consumption, and reducing production waste.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage production schedules, and ensure timely order completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a sofa or upholstered furniture manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of modern furniture manufacturing techniques and production processes.
• Experience with production planning systems, inventory coordination, and performance monitoring.

Work Environment

This role operates within a manufacturing environment, requiring hands-on management of production lines and teams. The position is full-time, based in Dammam and Al Khobar.
