About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage the purchasing process for specific commodity groups. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and involves applying procurement policies while serving as the interface between suppliers and the company regarding specifications and budgets. The role focuses on executing standard enabling activities and providing advice within established policies and workflows.

Role Overview

The Sourcing Specialist influences the quality of their own work and that of others within the team. While primarily executing standard tasks, there may be opportunities to adjust the order and completion of duties based on changing situations. This position is integral to ensuring efficient and compliant procurement operations.

Responsibilities

Execute the purchase order to supplier payment process for defined commodities, aligning with organizational safety, quality, delivery, and cost measures.
Lead the reporting and control for one or more of the sourcing team's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Engage with internal customers to resolve fulfillment challenges.
Develop and execute improvement plans for assigned commodities through daily management, supplier qualification, and negotiation.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure business continuity.
Maintain up-to-date data within the ERP system.

Qualifications and Requirements

0-1 year of experience in a relevant field.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Possess a process improvement mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve procurement objectives.
