About the Role

Daikin Middle East & Africa, a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., is seeking a Sr. Project Sales Engineer specializing in HVAC Applied & VRV Systems. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for leading Daikin's project business within the region, managing the entire sales cycle for applied HVAC and VRV solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Daikin's Applied HVAC and VRV/VRF solutions, focusing on large and complex projects across the Eastern Province.
  • Achieve assigned sales bookings, invoicing, margin targets, and payment realization.
  • Generate new business by building relationships with consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Review project inquiries and prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with the Application team.
  • Manage technical submittals and follow up on approvals with clients and authorities.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations, including pricing and terms & conditions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Coordinate with Service teams to ensure effective after-sales support.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, sales forecasts, and management reports.
  • Conduct customer visits, site meetings, presentations, and technical demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Application, Factory, Logistics, Finance) for smooth project execution.
  • Manage key accounts in coordination with Consulting Sales and Application teams.
  • Oversee order processing, delivery schedules, and payment collection.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and participate in review meetings, driving corrective actions.
  • Channel customer and market feedback to product development, production, and marketing teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the HVAC industry, with significant exposure to Applied HVAC and VRV/VRF systems.
  • Proven track record of success in the KSA project market.
  • Strong experience in commercial negotiations and contractual terms.
  • In-depth product knowledge of Chillers (Centrifugal & Air-Cooled) and Airside products; solid VRV/VRF experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Aramco and SABIC specifications, and familiarity with product approval processes, is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong customer, account, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Daikin product range and the local HVAC market is a strong advantage.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The role requires managing the complete sales lifecycle of applied HVAC and VRV solutions.
