About the Opportunity

MphExperts is seeking a highly experienced Substation Specialist to join our team in Dammam. This full-time role involves supervising the construction and ensuring the efficient and economical installation of 400 kV substation turnkey projects. The specialist will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with approved designs throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities to ensure expeditious and economical project delivery in accordance with EPC Contracts.
• Monitor the EPC Contractor's performance regarding quality, safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with approved designs.
• Lead site inspections, identify potential issues, and propose solutions in collaboration with project management and EPC teams.
• Review and assess the Contractor's Daily Reports.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate commissioning activities.
• Interpret drawings and specifications, consulting with contractors as needed to ensure program compliance.
• Rectify any identified errors in detailed design or working drawings.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Regularly monitor site safety, health, and environmental aspects to maintain a safe, environmentally friendly site with zero man-hour loss.
• Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, progress, non-conformities, remedial actions, follow-up history, near-miss cases, lessons learned, and interface cases at the site level.
• Conduct site progress meetings and attend monthly meetings as required by Project Management.
• Certify material reports, site progress reports, all inspections performed or attended by the specialist or their team, and joint measurement certificates for work progress and related invoicing.
• Supervise acceptance tests and commissioning carried out by the Contractor, in the presence of client representatives.
• Coordinate necessary interface for outages with client’s stakeholders and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in 400 kV substation turnkey installations.
• Proven experience in projects of similar nature and complexity.
• Demonstrated experience in both the design and construction phases of substation projects.
