The Role: Warehouse Operation Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Warehouse Operation Specialist to join its team in Dammam, Eastern region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting warehouse administration, managing material flow, and ensuring efficient operational processes within distribution facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the administration of warehouse and manual handling plans and processes.
• Receive, sort, and process incoming and outgoing materials, cargo, parts, products, supplies, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Verify and endorse the accurate receipt and issue of cargo against relevant documentation.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves, ensuring proper storage.
• Load materials and cargo into vehicles, trucks, or containers, using hand tools for strapping, bracing, and padding.
• Undertake cargo movement in compliance with regulations and internal procedures, updating shipment status.
• Assist in stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor cycle and turnaround times for order processing.
• Update inventory records, maintain defined stock levels, and perform stock audits.
• Input information into computerized systems (*, logs, packing lists, invoices) and generate delivery/shipping documents.
• Ensure the supply of raw materials to production areas, record finished product entry, and prepare reports.
• Guide and perform physical handling of cargo, ensuring accurate implementation of receiving, order processing, picking, and bulking operations.
• Identify and resolve recurring issues, suggesting modifications to warehouse and manual handling methods.
• Manage and execute warehouse/distribution center activities related to movement, tools, and packaging.
• Pack items for shipment according to specifications.
• Receive or inspect goods, scanning and verifying items against shipment records.
• Manage transshipment and sorting activities.
• Operate gas or electric powered forklift trucks for material movement.
• Consolidate shipments and perform Unit Load Device operations.
• May provide functional guidance, advice, or training to less experienced positions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• More than 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
