About the Role

Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. is seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role is central to supporting cybersecurity operations and enhancing the organization's security posture.

Role Purpose

The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for supporting critical cybersecurity operations by actively monitoring security events, performing log analysis, and investigating alerts. This position is integral to maintaining security monitoring platforms and works collaboratively with cybersecurity teams to identify threats, improve system visibility, and enhance incident detection and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and analyze logs to detect potential threats.
• Investigate security alerts and incidents, escalating as necessary.
• Maintain and optimize security monitoring platforms.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify new threats and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to improving overall security visibility and incident response processes.

Educational Background and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in a relevant cybersecurity role.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity functions and security operations.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and log analysis, with a preference for Splunk.
• Knowledge of log management systems and data engineering tools (*, Cribl).
• Good understanding of database concepts and query languages.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and Windows/Linux system administration.
• Basic scripting skills using Python and/or PowerShell.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Required Certifications and Attributes

• Splunk Power User and Administration certifications are mandatory.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
