About the Field Specialist Coiled Tubing Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist Coiled Tubing to join our Pressure Pumping Team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time position involves executing coiled tubing operations with a focus on quality and efficiency. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in coiled tubing operations and contributes to the development of advanced energy technology products.

Role Context and Operational Focus

This role is integral to bringing together physical and digital technologies to create oilfield equipment. The team develops systems that control and monitor oil and gas extraction, maintaining industry-leading surface pressure capabilities. As a Field Specialist, you will perform operations on machined parts to high-quality standards, working proactively to meet production schedules and developing your skills on innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor coiled tubing units, injector heads, reels, and control systems.
  • Lead rig-up, pressure testing, job execution, and rig-down activities.
  • Monitor real-time job parameters such as tubing depth, weight, pump rates, and well pressure.
  • Perform pre-job inspections, function testing, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Baker Hughes and customer HSE requirements.
  • Record operational data and prepare accurate job reports for customers.
  • Coordinate with the customer, rig crew, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Mentor operators and junior personnel while maintaining high operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field specialist or field engineer in coiled tubing operations.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in oilfield services and nitrogen pumping.
  • Strong knowledge of Coiled Tubing equipment, Pressure Control Equipment (BOPs, stripper, lubricator), Nitrogen Pumping, and Well Intervention operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and risk management.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a shift-based rotational pattern. The standard schedule is 6 weeks on, followed by 4 weeks off. Baker Hughes supports flexible working patterns to enable employees to perform effectively.
