About the Role

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position specializing in Human Factors/Economics. This role is designed for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who are interested in contributing to academic excellence within Industrial Engineering and related fields.

KFUPM is seeking candidates with expertise in Industrial Engineering and related areas, specifically with a focus on Human Factors/Economics. Other areas of interest for the department include:

• Operations Research
• Production Systems/Supply Chain Management
• Quality Control/Statistics/Data Science

• Industrial Information Systems

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to dedicate approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out teaching, research, and academic advising duties.
• Performing administrative duties and any other academic tasks assigned by the department.
• Engaging in high-quality teaching and fulfilling departmental teaching requirements, including developing lab activities at the undergraduate level.
• Incorporating recent advancements in the area of study into courses taught.
• Initiating and maintaining research activities/projects with faculty members, aiming for peer-reviewed articles in high-impact professional journals.
• Participating actively in department and university service, including program development.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated teaching experience.
• Experience with a programming language, preferably Python and Jupyter notebooks.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
