We are seeking a dedicated Fire & Safety Officer to join our team in Hail, on a full-time basis.
Role Purpose and Scope
The Fire & Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety of all divisional personnel, contractors, and visitors across all Almarai site locations and accommodation in Hail. This role involves reporting any unsafe or defective equipment, practices, acts, or omissions to functional management. A primary objective is to ensure immediate corrective action is taken to eliminate or minimize the risk of loss resulting from fire, smoke, and water damage to Almarai resources, including personnel, buildings, plant and equipment, product and raw materials, and information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety of all divisional personnel, contractors, and visitors at Hail site locations and accommodation.
- Report any unsafe or defective equipment, practice, act, or omission to functional management.
- Ensure immediate corrective action is implemented to mitigate risks from fire, smoke, and water damage to Almarai resources.
- Conduct regular fire drills and fire prevention training sessions.
- Perform fire inspections and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
- Investigate fire accidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and manage associated risks effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Membership with IOSHE.
- ISO 9001:2008 certified Lead Auditor.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-cultural workforce organization, specifically handling fire detection and suppression equipment.
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in fire management is essential.
- Prior experience as a trained fire-fighter with either a civil Fire Brigade or a large multi-national company fire team.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in Computer and SAP Environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic communication skills.
