About the Role

Almarai, a prominent food and beverage manufacturer in the MENA region and the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for its poultry processing plant located in Al Shamli, Hail Region, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to the company's growth plans, focusing on leading and managing all quality and food safety activities to ensure adherence to company standards, regulatory requirements, and international quality systems, while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance function within the poultry processing plant.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC, GMP, and SSOP.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all plant operations.
• Conduct and manage internal and external audits, as well as regulatory inspections.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues.
• Oversee laboratory operations, including microbiological testing and product quality evaluation.
• Ensure effective traceability systems, efficient product release processes, and robust non-conformance management.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement quality improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team, including providing training and managing performance.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations and international food safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Veterinary Science, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing sector, with a preference for poultry or meat processing experience.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of poultry processing operations, food safety regulations, and quality systems.
• Hands-on experience with audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in implementing and managing HACCP, ISO, FSSC, GMP, and SSOP standards.
