The Role of Team Manager

Almarai is seeking a Team Manager for a full-time position in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a self-directing, multi-functional team focused on the efficient intake and processing of poultry products. Your primary objective will be to meet internal customer requirements within established management performance parameters, including efficiency, loss-in-process, and zero non-conformance, while ensuring strict adherence to defined Product Specifications, Quality, and Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a self-directing, multi-functional team for poultry intake and processing.
• Ensure efficient processing of specified poultry products.
• Meet internal customer requirements within management performance parameters (efficiencies, loss-in-process, zero non-conformance).
• Ensure strict adherence to defined Product Specifications, Quality, and Safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Poultry Processing, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position within a poultry or food environment.
• Experience in a high-volume operational environment.
• Proven ability to manage a multinational and multifunctional workforce.
• Experience in finalizing plans and targets with the production management team regarding production and maintenance activities.
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and minimize accidents.
• Exposure to automated process control production.
• Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining international quality standards, including ISO 9000, ISO 9001, and HACCP.
• Strong computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Certifications in Supervisory Management, Internal Auditing, and recognized food safety and quality standards such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
• Knowledge of the implementation of international quality standards.
• Ability to propose plant modifications and process optimization to reduce cost and improve service levels.
• Cooperative attitude with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
• Ability to develop a team environment and boost employee output levels.
• Ability to work in coordination with a multicultural workforce.
• Capability to train people for required jobs and develop a multicultural workforce.
