About the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join its team in Jazan. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves supporting all daily operational tasks related to Health, Safety, and Environment for the assigned location. The role ensures compliance with SADAFCO standards and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing safety standards across the assigned location. Core responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and advising the Regional HSE Supervisor and Line Managers on all HSE matters.
  • Participating in employee safety performance reviews.
  • Proposing and supporting HSE improvement actions to enhance overall safety performance.
  • Preparing performance monitoring reports in accordance with SADAFCO standards and procedures.

HSE System Management and Compliance

This role involves active management of HSE systems and ensuring strict adherence to internal and external compliance requirements. Key duties include:

  • Updating approved procedures, instructions, and risk assessment findings within the system.
  • Monitoring all HSE activities to ensure compliance with SADAFCO standards, local, and international regulations.
  • Issuing and controlling work permits as per established procedures.
  • Ensuring all contractual and regulatory requirements are adhered to and complied with.

Training and Emergency Preparedness

The HSE Officer is responsible for developing and implementing training programs and ensuring the site is prepared for emergencies. This includes:

  • Supporting, coordinating, and performing HSE training and awareness activities.
  • Participating in new employee induction training programs.
  • Ensuring sites are well-equipped with relevant safety measures, including PPEs, and verifying their suitability and specifications.
  • Coordinating emergency mock drills and arranging Emergency Preparedness Team meetings with necessary training and support.
  • Ensuring first aid facilities are accessible and communicated to all onsite personnel, and coordinating medical emergencies with the company medical team.

Audits and Incident Management

A critical part of the role involves conducting regular audits and managing incident analysis to identify and mitigate risks. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular on-site visits, audits, and inspections to identify non-conformities or potential hazardous conditions.
  • Coordinating safety inspections and audits, and following up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Acting as the company representative during external audits or legal inspections (*, Modon, Civil Defense).
  • Supporting investigations into HSE-related accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Implementing appropriate actions based on investigation outcomes to maintain HSE standards.

Required Qualifications

Candidates applying for the HSE Officer position should meet the following experience requirement:

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role.
