General Accountant

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Recording and reviewing all daily accounting entries and transactions.
2. Following up on branch revenues and reconciling sales with point-of-sale systems and bank deposits.
3. Reviewing expenses, invoices, and financial documents and ensuring they are approved according to authorities.
4. Following up on purchases and reviewing supplier invoices and reconciling them with purchase orders and receipts.
5. Following up on supplier and customer accounts and performing necessary reconciliations.
6. Following up on cash advances and branch expenses and performing periodic reconciliations.
7. Following up on inventory movement and coordinating with the purchasing department and branches to perform inventory counts and reconciliations.
8. Reviewing the cost of food and beverages and monitoring waste rates and variances.
9. Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to sales, expenses, and costs.
10. Preparing and reviewing bank and cash reconciliations.
11. Following up on receivables and payables and ensuring they are recorded correctly.
12. Contributing to the preparation of budgets and periodic financial reports.
13. Ensuring the proper filing and organization of all documents, invoices, and accounting entries.
14. Identifying accounting variances and errors, verifying their causes, and reporting them to management.
15. Adhering to the approved financial and accounting policies and procedures of the establishment.
16. Collaborating with branch, purchasing, warehouse, and management managers to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
17. Performing any other accounting tasks related to the nature of the work assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A university degree or diploma in **Accounting or Finance**.
• **Previous experience in accounting for restaurants or food and beverage companies is required.**
• Good knowledge of sales, point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory, and purchases.
• Ability to prepare and review financial reports.
• Ability to identify and resolve variances and errors.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple branches or accounts simultaneously.
• Commitment, confidentiality, and preservation of financial information and data.
• Proficiency in working with and supervising delivery applications such as (Hungerstation-Jahez-Kita-Ninja).
