About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking an AI Director to lead the development, implementation, and scaling of artificial intelligence solutions across the Group. This full-time position is based in Jeddah or Makkah and requires over 10 years of experience. The role focuses on translating clinical, operational, and business needs into measurable AI outcomes, establishing an AI Center of Excellence, and executing the Group’s AI strategy and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the Group’s enterprise AI strategy and translate strategic priorities into an actionable AI roadmap and portfolio.
• Lead AI initiatives through the complete delivery lifecycle, from problem identification to production deployment, adoption, and scale.
• Provide technical leadership across modern AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, predictive analytics, and large language models.
• Establish practical MLOps and LLMOps capabilities to support reliable development, deployment, and operation of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with clinical, quality, and operational teams to identify AI opportunities that improve clinical care, quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Further develop and operationalize the Group’s AI governance framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise, cybersecurity, privacy, legal, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with data engineering, analytics, and technology teams to ensure data required for AI initiatives is accessible, reliable, and fit for purpose.
• Conduct technical and operational assessments of proposed AI solutions and technologies, providing evidence-based recommendations.
• Define measurable success criteria and expected benefits for AI initiatives, monitoring adoption and evaluating post-implementation outcomes.
• Establish and progressively develop the Group’s AI Center of Excellence, building and leading a multidisciplinary team.
• Identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies, research opportunities, and potential innovation partners.

Technical Leadership and Development

The AI Director will provide technical leadership in solution architecture, evaluation, prototyping, and implementation decisions. This includes guiding technical decisions related to model selection, data pipelines, inference architecture, integration, and deployment. The role involves staying current with AI developments and assessing emerging technologies based on their potential to address clinical, operational, and business needs.

Healthcare AI and Clinical Integration

A core aspect of this role is working closely with healthcare professionals to translate clinical needs into technical requirements. The Director will lead the technical and operational integration of AI solutions with electronic medical records, clinical systems, and enterprise applications, applying healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR. Ensuring appropriate validation, safety, performance, and usability assessments for clinical AI solutions is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in artificial intelligence development and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead AI initiatives through the complete delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with modern AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and generative AI.
• Proficiency in MLOps, LLMOps, and production AI practices.
• Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and clinical integration.
• Experience in establishing and operationalizing AI governance frameworks and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to assess data readiness and define requirements for data pipelines and access controls.
