The Art Teacher Role

MLKIS is seeking a full-time, on-site Art Teacher to join its faculty in Jeddah, Makkah. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging art lessons, introducing students to a diverse range of artistic techniques, and supporting their skill development in drawing, painting, and other visual arts. This position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan lessons that are aligned with the school’s established curriculum.
• Prepare all necessary materials and classroom resources for art instruction.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to facilitate artistic development.
• Maintain an organized, positive, and inclusive learning environment within the art classroom.
• Collaborate effectively with other faculty members and school staff.
• Participate in school events and exhibitions, showcasing student artwork.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of art education programs at the school.
• Foster creativity and encourage self-expression among all students.
• Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Art Education and Painting, with the ability to teach a variety of visual art techniques.
• Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, aligned with standards-based educational practices.
• Proven experience in teaching, including effective classroom management and the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Relevant academic background in Art, Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills, with a student-centered and inclusive approach.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and support co-curricular art activities.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and stay updated on best practices in art and education.
• Experience working in international or standards-based schools is considered an advantage.
