Role Overview

Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) is seeking an Aviation and Physical Security Specialist to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves supporting the administration of comprehensive security management services across SANS facilities and departments. The specialist will be instrumental in reviewing, updating, and implementing the SANS security program to ensure a secure working environment for all employees, adhering to established KPIs, budgets, and organizational policies and procedures.

Security Program Administration

The Aviation and Physical Security Specialist will contribute to the strategic development and execution of SANS's security framework. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development of security policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with required local and international regulations (GACA, ICAO).
• Contributing to the implementation of all mandated local and international security regulations.
• Reviewing and updating policy adherence continuously to prevent non-conformance or non-adherence issues.
• Monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.

Operational Security Oversight

This role involves direct oversight of security operations and infrastructure to maintain a robust security posture across SANS premises. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing security operations at SANS and providing expert security consultation as needed.
• Ensuring all security infrastructures are functioning according to requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Verifying that security personnel continuously monitor and record CCTV footage.
• Confirming that CCTV systems are operating and recording normally without interruption.

Reporting, Analysis, and Improvement

The specialist will be responsible for comprehensive reporting, incident analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the security domain. Key duties include:

• Reporting on the progress and implementation of security risk assessments for all SANS premises, facilities, and shelters.
• Preparing reports related to security implementation, requirements, and evaluations.
• Reviewing, reporting on, and recommending actions for incident and breach reports, sharing findings with management.
• Preparing preliminary and final audit, investigation, and inspection reports.
• Participating in generating ideas and proposals to improve existing security systems and processes.
• Analyzing past incidents, occurrences, and latest trends in security management to inform process improvement proposals.
• Contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement, considering leading practices, business environment changes, cost reduction, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in physical security and/or aviation security.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Certification: Certification in Security Management or Administration is preferable.
