The Role: Senior Network Security Specialist

Accenture Middle East is seeking a Senior Network Security Specialist to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience. The specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of network security services, ensuring the secure and reliable functioning of network infrastructure and threat management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and support Network Security tools, including Firewalls, WAF, API Security, DDoS, IPS, Mail gateways, Proxy, and NAC solutions.
• Manage Firewall Policy Creation and Change Management, utilizing AlgoSec for policy reviews and validations.
• Perform Web Application Firewall and API Security Operations, specifically managing F5 WAF and API security to protect web applications.
• Administer and troubleshoot network security devices and platforms, ensuring secure configurations, availability, and performance across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Implement and manage patching, upgrades, and signature updates for network security solutions in accordance with organizational processes.
• Continuously evaluate operational effectiveness, identify gaps, and drive improvement initiatives to enhance network security posture.
• Support troubleshooting of network and security issues, including traffic analysis and packet capture, to facilitate quick and effective resolutions.
• Maintain and update comprehensive operational documentation to ensure consistent and efficient network security practices.
• Support audit and reporting activities to provide transparency into network security operations.
• Escalate complex issues or potential threats as necessary for efficient and effective resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in network security operations.

Essential Skills and Technical Experience

• Strong understanding of network security protocols and concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, malware analysis, and threat detection.
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls, WAF, API Security, DDoS, IPS, Mail gateways, Proxy, and NAC solutions.
• Knowledge of on-premise secure configurations and operational management.
• Practical experience in network troubleshooting, including traffic analysis and packet capture techniques.
• Familiarity with security patching, upgrades, and signature management for network security platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to support audits and generate actionable reports.

Preferred Certifications

• Certification in relevant network security tools such as F5 Certified Administrator or Arbor APS Certification.
• Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, PNSCE, NSE4, or NSE7 are highly desirable.
