Career Opportunities: Assistant IT Manager

About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel, located in Jeddah, is seeking an Assistant IT Manager for a full-time position. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the Information Technology Department, working closely with the IT Manager to ensure smooth functioning. The Assistant IT Manager will support the establishment of hardware maintenance programs and procedures for system interruptions, and ensure data storage and protection security. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuous operation of critical hotel application systems, including Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, along with their associated hardware.
• Address user-reported IT problems related to both hardware and application systems.
• Ensure the proper implementation of daily standard IT operating procedures, including checklists and adherence to new requirements.
• Develop new application systems and enhance existing ones to benefit departmental operations and the hotel.
• Continuously identify and recommend improvements for IT-related areas to management.
• Embody the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
• Promote environmental responsibility by reducing waste, recycling, and reusing materials where applicable.
• Familiarize with and ensure compliance with all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including those of local and national government.
• Ensure the application of CSR in all job-related decisions and activities to achieve the hotel's CSR goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior analyst/programmer in a large company.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
