About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. Located on the new Jeddah Waterfront, the hotel aims to set a new standard for luxury in the city. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective business development strategies to ensure continued and sustainable profitable growth across all revenue centers, particularly rooms. This role involves maximizing upselling opportunities and maintaining a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales, telephone, fax, and written communication. Building positive working relationships with all hotel departments is crucial to ensure understanding of sales programs and customer expectations. Active communication and teamwork among the sales team and other marketing departments, such as Events Management, Communications, and Reservations, are essential to achieve the hotel's overall sales objectives.

Implementation and Standards

In this role, you will implement all sales activities and action plans outlined in the hotel's marketing plan, maximizing business opportunities within your area of responsibility. Maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compliance with established hotel guidelines and standards is a core aspect of the position.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Hotel Sales & Marketing.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
