Civil Design Lead

About the Role

Egis is seeking a Civil Design Lead to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the civil design function for infrastructure projects, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance. The position is based in the Makkah region, specifically in Jeddah or Makkah, and requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in civil engineering design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and design professionals to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Develop comprehensive civil design strategies and solutions for infrastructure projects, aligning with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using industry-standard CAD software.
• Analyze site conditions, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical recommendations for project optimization.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and international standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for efficient project delivery.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities to address design requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
• Review and quality-assure all design deliverables to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
• Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and implement design standards and procedures for the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Demonstrated strong technical expertise in civil engineering.
• Proven leadership abilities in directing engineering and design teams.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and international standards.
