About the Role

Astek is seeking an HIS Product Manager to work with one of its clients in Makkah and Jeddah. This contract position focuses on driving the delivery of digital health and clinical data exchange products across provider, payer, and member ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the HIS product strategy and roadmap, including provider integrations, NPHIES/FHIR/HL7 compliance, clinical data exchange, e-prescriptions, and member digital journeys.
• Gather and prioritize stakeholder requirements, translating regulatory and interoperability needs (NPHIES, FHIR, HL7, ICD-10-AM, SNOMED CT, Saudi Billing Standard) into product features and milestones.
• Lead day-to-day Agile delivery activities, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, story writing, acceptance criteria definition, UAT, provider onboarding, and go-live coordination.
• Manage cross-functional communication, providing updates to the Product Lead, operations, clinical teams, and external vendors, while also surfacing risks and dependencies.
• Monitor and analyze product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including adoption, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and engagement, utilizing data and user research to iterate and propose enhancements.
• Champion user-centric design and continuous improvement through discovery processes, usability testing, and stakeholder advocacy.

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of approximately 3 years in Product Management, Business Analysis, or HIS consulting within healthcare, health insurance, or health-tech sectors.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Key Skills and Experience

• Strong working knowledge of Health Information Systems (HIS), EMR/EHR platforms, and payer–provider workflows, including eligibility, pre-authorization, claims, e-prescriptions, and clinical data exchange.
• Experience in mapping regulatory and interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, ICD-10-AM, SNOMED CT, and local billing standards into product requirements.
• Proven Agile delivery experience, encompassing backlog management, user stories, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and vendor/provider integrations.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, coupled with customer empathy for member and provider journeys.
• Comfortable working in regulated, fast-paced environments and collaborating effectively with third-party HIS/EMR vendors.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position, with work primarily located in Jeddah and Makkah.
