Job Description

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Product Manager / Assistant Product Manager for Digital Enterprise Solutions Production & Service Management in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring the operational stability and performance of critical digital enterprise solutions, focusing on proactive management and swift resolution of production incidents.

Role Purpose and Scope

The successful candidate will own the product-side management of production incidents, from initial triage and impact assessment to resolution tracking and stakeholder communication. This position requires a blend of technical troubleshooting expertise and strategic problem management to maintain continuous service availability and drive systemic improvements across the Digital Enterprise Solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production incidents affecting Digital Enterprise Solutions, including triage, impact assessment, escalation, coordination, resolution tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Perform hands-on product-level technical troubleshooting by reviewing logs, API requests/responses, HTTP and application error codes, JSON/XML payloads, and transaction traces.
  • Utilize Postman or equivalent tools to test APIs, reproduce issues, validate responses, and support investigations of client or system integration problems.
  • Execute basic SQL queries or coordinate database investigations to trace transactions, validate statuses, or identify processing issues.
  • Determine whether production issues originate from client systems, APIs, middleware, backend applications, infrastructure, databases, security components, or downstream services.
  • Lead or coordinate root-cause analysis for significant and recurring incidents, tracking permanent corrective actions and ensuring systemic issues are addressed.
  • Monitor service availability, latency, error rates, failed and rejected transactions, timeouts, processing delays, and other indicators of production health.
  • Define and maintain production monitoring requirements and operational dashboards, identifying monitoring gaps and establishing early-warning indicators for potential service degradation.
  • Monitor agreed service levels and coordinate service reviews with Technology and support functions, escalating performance or reliability risks when necessary.
  • Support complex client technical escalations and participate in troubleshooting sessions with client technical teams, translating technical issues into clear business and service impact.
  • Participate in production-readiness reviews for releases and changes, validating monitoring and support readiness, and coordinating post-deployment and early-life monitoring.
  • Work closely with the Product Development & Change Delivery Squad to raise, prioritize, and validate defects, permanent fixes, and product improvements identified through production incidents.
  • Maintain incident records, problem-management documentation, troubleshooting guides, known-error information, technical support procedures, and escalation matrices.
  • Provide management with regular production-health reporting, recurring issue trends, major incident summaries, service risks, and recommended improvements.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the technical architecture, integration models, APIs, authentication mechanisms, transaction flows, middleware, databases, messaging, and infrastructure dependencies of the Digital Enterprise Solutions portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, with a preferred range of 5-10 years in the field.
  • Experience in digital banking, fintech, payments, API platforms, transaction banking, application support, production support, or enterprise technology environments is preferred.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML, HTTP methods and response codes, Postman or equivalent API-testing tools, application logs, and basic SQL.
  • Good understanding of databases, middleware, API gateways, authentication and authorization, certificates, networking fundamentals, and transaction-processing systems.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to independently investigate technical issues, trace end-to-end transactions, assess business impact, and coordinate technical teams through resolution.
  • Knowledge of payment systems, ISO 20022, SWIFT, host-to-host banking integrations, or financial messaging technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong preference for experience with incident management, problem management, service monitoring, root-cause analysis, and production support processes.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and client orientation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively during high-priority incidents.
  • Product management, ITIL, service management, or relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
