About the Role

KAFOU is seeking a Key Account Specialist - Lab to develop and manage the Life Science and General Lab business across the Western and Southern Regions of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jeddah. This full-time role focuses on expanding market coverage, generating new business opportunities, and achieving assigned sales targets within government, public, research, and private accounts. The specialist will manage opportunities from initial market identification and customer development through to quotation, purchase order, delivery, and invoicing, while maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for the Western and Southern Regions.
  • Develop and manage accounts across government, public, private, university, research, stem-cell, genetics, biobank, blood-bank, and General Lab sectors.
  • Generate new sales opportunities and develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling and promoting the complete General Lab and Life Science portfolio.
  • Conduct structured market segmentation by region, customer, application, product category, and business potential.
  • Collect and maintain accurate market information, including customer databases, installed base, competitors, potential projects, consumption, and upcoming requirements.
  • Build account plans for strategic customers, identifying key decision-makers, end users, and procurement contacts.
  • Maintain regular customer visits according to an approved weekly and monthly territory plan.
  • Manage opportunities from initial customer requirement through technical discussion, quotation, negotiation, purchase order, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate and updated CRM records for customer visits, opportunities, quotations, expected orders, and sales forecasts.
  • Manage NUPCO and government account opportunities, understanding their purchasing and PO workflows.
  • Identify upcoming tenders, projects, budgets, and direct-purchase opportunities, escalating them internally within required timelines.
  • Follow up on quotations and opportunities systematically, maintaining clear next actions and expected closing dates.
  • Coordinate with technical, logistics, regulatory, supply-chain, and finance teams to ensure proper execution of customer requirements and orders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and product specialists for technical or application support.
  • Develop technical and application knowledge across the assigned product portfolio through continuous self-learning and supplier training.
  • Monitor competitor activities, products, pricing, installed base, and market developments, reporting relevant information to management.
  • Submit required sales, market, pipeline, and forecast reports accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities within the assigned territory.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or another relevant Life Science discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field-sales experience in Life Science, research laboratories, laboratory equipment, medical devices, or laboratory consumables.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Previous sales responsibility for government and public-sector accounts is required.
  • NUPCO experience is required.
  • Previous Saudi Arabia market experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience covering the Western Region and/or Southern Region is strongly preferred.
  • Proven history of achieving assigned sales targets.
  • Experience selling capital equipment together with recurring consumables is preferred.
  • Experience with research, stem cells, genetics, biobanking, blood banks, or related Life Science applications is strongly preferred.

Work Location

This role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, covering the Western and Southern Regions.
