About the Lobby Ambassador Role at The EDITION

The Edition Hotels, part of Marriott International, is seeking a full-time Lobby Ambassador for its operations in Makkah and Jeddah. This role is responsible for ensuring prompt and efficient responses to all guest needs and requests, coordinating with relevant staff and departments as necessary. It is an entry-level position suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly respond to all guest needs and requests.
• Fill service carts with supplies and transport them to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following proper procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entry.
• Replace guest supplies in rooms and deliver VIP amenities.
• Remove trash and room service items from guest rooms.
• Verify that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances within guest rooms.
• Assess room cleanliness and notify Housekeeping of required tasks, such as dirty linens, unmade beds, surface dust, or carpets needing vacuuming.
• Provide lifestyle services upon request, including packing and unpacking, pressing and ironing, shoe polishing, food and drink deliveries and setups, and workout setups.

Operational Standards and Guest Engagement

The Lobby Ambassador adheres to company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing all required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance and ensuring the confidentiality of proprietary information are essential. The role involves welcoming guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Teamwork is crucial, requiring clear and professional communication and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals, while ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Demands of the Role

This position requires various physical activities, including:

• Moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Pushing and pulling a loaded service cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
