About the Role

Modern Mills For Food Products Co. is seeking a Manager Technical Purchasing to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role is accountable for leading and executing purchasing activities related to MRO, CAPEX, technical materials, and general operational requirements. The Manager Technical Purchasing ensures the timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services that support operational reliability, efficiency, and project delivery, while driving cost optimization, compliance, and alignment with company policies.

Core Procurement Responsibilities

• Lead the purchasing of spare parts, consumables, tools, and technical services required for plant maintenance and operations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to confirm technical specifications and ensure materials are fit-for-purpose.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for CAPEX projects, including machinery, equipment, and high-value technical services.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Finance teams to ensure alignment with specifications, budgets, and project timelines for CAPEX.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor deliveries to minimize risks and delays in procurement processes.
• Handle procurement for project-related materials and services not classified as CAPEX.
• Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle by aligning procurement activities with project milestones.
• Track procurement progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and manage relationships with OEMs and critical suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
• Develop and maintain supplier partnerships in line with quality, delivery, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and lead improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements across all purchasing activities.

Cost Optimization and Process Excellence

• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining required quality and technical standards.
• Improve procurement processes to enhance overall efficiency and responsiveness.
• Report on procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), achieved savings, supplier performance, and lead-time improvements.

Team Leadership and Policy Adherence

• Lead, coach, and develop procurement-related team members.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the team.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement function.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement-related policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate usage of SAP and related systems for reporting, tracking, and operational visibility.

Required Qualifications

• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with flexibility depending on the role's scope and demonstrated performance.
