Marketing & Branding Director

About the Role

Ethra For Human Resources Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Marketing & Branding Director to lead and oversee the marketing and branding strategy for their client within the Sports, Fitness & Wellness sector. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience. The role focuses on shaping, elevating, and protecting the company's brand across 72 active clubs, driving B2C marketing initiatives, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the overall marketing and branding strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and business goals.
• Conduct brand health analysis, consumer insights studies, and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage the marketing and branding budget, optimizing spending for maximum ROI.
• Establish high-impact brand partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility.
• Oversee the full brand ecosystem, including identity, guidelines, tone of voice, and visual assets.
• Ensure consistent and premium brand image across all communication touchpoints, including digital, social media, and retail.
• Lead the creation of integrated creative campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty.
• Oversee all marketing activities, including digital marketing, SEO/SEM, performance marketing, and CRM.
• Develop data-driven campaign strategies focused on B2C customer acquisition and retention.
• Monitor marketing KPIs and performance analytics, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Shape external and internal communication strategies, overseeing PR campaigns and media relations.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of marketing, creative, and branding professionals, including 8 direct reports, and manage external agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of total work experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Content, Campaign Management, CRM Analytics, or Marketing Communications.
• Relevant experience in Retail, Hospitality, FMCG, or other consumer-facing sectors is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct people-management or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong experience in marketing and branding strategy, with a focus on strategic business growth.
• Demonstrated B2C marketing experience, particularly in customer/member engagement, activations, and marketing campaigns.
• Experience in digital marketing and social media strategy, including platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Experience managing marketing activities and campaigns across multiple branches or locations.
• Strong knowledge of brand management, creative leadership, and project management.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with strong English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Sports & Fitness industry is highly preferred.
• Experience in B2B marketing is an advantage.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will oversee an in-house marketing team and manage relationships with external agencies, driving marketing and branding efforts across 72 active clubs.
