QA/QC Civil Engineer

About the Role

MADKOUR is seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer to join its team for large-scale energy projects in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals only and requires 0-1 years of experience in civil works for energy projects. The successful candidate will ensure all civil activities meet stringent quality, compliance, and safety standards.

Role Purpose

The QA/QC Civil Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and control procedures. This role ensures that all civil works align with project specifications, SEC standards, and international best practices, contributing to the successful delivery of energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the QA/QC system specifically for civil works within substation projects.
• Ensure full compliance with SEC specifications, drawings, and established standards.
• Review and verify materials, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Conduct thorough inspections of excavation, foundations, concrete works, finishing, and other civil activities.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project management teams to effectively resolve quality issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA/QC records, test reports, and approvals.
• Liaise with SEC representatives for inspections, approvals, and audits.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements throughout all construction activities.
• Participate in project handover processes, verifying that all civil works are defect-free and meet SEC requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil works, specifically within energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Experience with SEC specifications and quality standards for substations.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
