Job Summary

Alfanar Projects is seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and is responsible for performing project civil Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities. The role ensures efficient and timely execution of tasks to meet quality standards, aligning with defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and coordinate project quality inspection activities with clients, consultants, and vendors.
  • Maintain system manuals, international and national standards, client specifications, technical data sheets, and all relevant inspection documents.
  • Verify accreditations, certifications, and approvals of vendors and third-party agencies.
  • Maintain quality records, including logbooks, QA/QC weekly reports, internal inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Prepare quality-related documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method of Statements (MOS), Checklists, and QA/QC weekly reports.
  • Implement the ALFANAR LESSON LEARNT PROGRAM to reduce punch points during project handover and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure works are carried out according to Project Technical Specifications (PTS), Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, and approved method statements.
  • Confirm that works are properly inspected at required stages as per ITP or client requirements.
  • Verify that all materials and equipment comply with contract specifications, plans, PTS, and standards.
  • Conduct site installation inspections and material receiving inspections, reporting to the concerned authority.
  • Control and monitor inspection and test requirements and data, assuring the maintenance and calibration of inspection testing equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Execution Team, Project Management, Client, and Consultant on QC matters.
  • Coordinate with independent testing laboratories for material testing, follow up on reports, and submit to the consultant.
  • Provide quality reporting to the Total Quality Management (TQM) Department.
  • Report quality-related matters to the Project Manager for action and to the TQM Manager for information.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain traceable quality records, including a proper log for QC documents.
  • Verify test results, reporting, and recommendations to the Project Manager for necessary actions.

  • Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes.
  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
  • Comply with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and project quality standards.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain quality documentation and reports.
  • Experience in site inspections, material verification, and testing.
  • Proficiency in coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
