About the Role

ABB is seeking a Senior Service Sales Engineer to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves executing service work with low to medium complexity, adhering to ABB's standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing work with customers, focusing on a first-time right approach, and demonstrating a clear understanding of urgency and care within their area of responsibility.

Service Division Focus

The Service Division at ABB partners with customers to enhance the availability, reliability, predictability, and sustainability of electrical products and installations. The division's portfolio includes product care, modernization, and advisory services aimed at improving performance, extending equipment lifetime, and delivering operational and sustainable efficiency. This approach supports customers in maximizing resource value and promoting the recovery and regeneration of products and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Penetrate the Installed Base (IB) and promote various upgrade, retrofit, and value-add solutions for customer and ABB benefit.
  • Understand the channel strategy, establish related prices, prepare sales plans, review them, and propose recovery plans as needed.
  • Utilize the IB database to understand existing IB and identify/develop sales opportunities for service products and solutions in existing or new IBs.
  • Focus on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business/product groups.
  • Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by analyzing market trends and exploring potential new service portfolios.
  • Sell the entire service product portfolio to expand ABB's footprint in designated areas.
  • Act as a marketer/salesperson for ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
  • Translate customer needs into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions.
  • Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding requirements and regulations, and by demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM).
  • Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Update the IB in the Service database regularly with site changes.
  • Contribute to risk assessments related to price and quality.
  • Register required information into the appropriate customer database.
  • Plan and perform the required number of weekly sales visits and report them on CRM.
  • Report leads/opportunities, manage, and update the pipeline in CRM.
  • Update and monitor sales proposals and tenders, and follow up on proposal statistics.
  • Communicate contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy, and manage administrative sales processes.

Required Experience

  • Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
