Role Summary

Excis is seeking an experienced Storage Lead to manage enterprise storage, backup, and data protection environments. This contract position is based in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role involves providing technical leadership, managing complex incidents, and supporting various storage and disaster recovery initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead administration and support for enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments, including provisioning, configuration, expansion, migration, and decommissioning.
• Monitor storage availability, performance, capacity, and health, providing technical guidance and recommending infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex SAN, NAS, and storage connectivity issues, managing connectivity between servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Lead enterprise backup administration, monitoring, and optimization, managing backup policies, schedules, retention, and capacity.
• Support storage and backup activities for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, ensuring solutions meet RPO/RTO requirements and participating in DR testing.
• Support storage integration with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Azure Storage, and Azure Backup, troubleshooting issues affecting virtualization environments.
• Lead storage capacity planning, forecasting, and monitoring of growth, performance, and utilization.
• Act as a senior escalation point for P1/P2 storage and backup incidents, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and coordinating technical teams and vendors.
• Maintain storage and backup architecture documentation, developing technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and recovery documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in storage, backup, and data protection environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAN/NAS, enterprise storage, backup technologies, virtualization, disaster recovery, storage migration, capacity planning, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex P1/P2 incidents and perform RCA.
• Experience with enterprise storage upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Relevant certifications in storage, backup, virtualization, disaster recovery, or cloud technologies.
• Proven experience with enterprise-scale storage migration projects.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in the Makkah region, covering cities including Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working within a global IT support and infrastructure services company, collaborating with a network of engineers and supporting enterprise clients.
