About MBRF and the Role

MBRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, is seeking a Senior Utilities Technician to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of essential utility systems, contributing to MBRF's mission of nourishing life through quality and innovation.

Role Overview

The Senior Utilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of refrigeration and HVAC systems. This includes executing both preventive and corrective maintenance to uphold high standards of quality, resource consumption, and control within the facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation and maintain refrigeration/HVAC systems (including ammonia compressors, evaporative condensers, ammonia-glycol-tyfoxit-chilled water pumps, vacuum pumps, ACU, FCU, AHU, exhaust fans, and AC units) in perfect and safe working condition.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to keep assets in optimal condition.
• Maintain high quality in electrical and mechanical operations, resource consumption, standards, and controls.
• Adhere to Corrective, Preventive, Scheduled Maintenance, and Kanban systems.
• Perform daily routine works, parameter monitoring, laboratory analysis, maintain activity reports and records, and ensure housekeeping in designated areas.
• Reduce the mean time of repair (MTTR) in production lines through effective presence and intervention.
• Assist in team development plans and trainings.
• Perform overhauling of equipment, motors, pumps, and other utility components independently.
• Identify local support, localization of spares, and cost-effective solutions.
• Solve complex problems by seeking knowledge from various sources, suppliers, and other MBRF teams.

Compliance and Safety Standards

• Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements and procedures within the workplace.
• Ensure proper handling of chemical products, tools, and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Comply with HSE and food safety HACCP requirements, pre-requirements, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), 5S compliance, and Food Defense requirements.
• Adhere to BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines and the BRF Sustainability Plan, promoting compliance with global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2-year Technical course in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or Refrigeration.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in utilities maintenance or a related technical field.
