Job Description
About the Role
Marriott International is seeking a Spa Manager for a full-time position in Jeddah. This role involves supervising and coordinating the activities of employees who deliver spa services, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception desk, massage, and locker room areas. The focus is on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume the responsibilities of the Spa Director in their absence.
- Ensure all employees have the proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
- Manage supplies and equipment inventories within budget.
- Maintain cleanliness of the spa and related areas and equipment.
- Understand the impact of department operations on overall property financial goals and objectives, managing to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Customer Service and Guest Relations
- Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings.
- Focus on continuous improvement to enhance service performance.
Human Resources and Team Leadership
- Solicit employee feedback, utilize an open-door policy, and review employee satisfaction results to address concerns.
- Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters, escalating issues to the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.
- Observe service behaviors of employees and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures and ongoing recognition programs.
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Support a Spa orientation program for new hires and supervise ongoing training initiatives.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees, ensuring team cohesion.
- Celebrate successes and publicly recognize team member contributions.
- Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, and disciplinary procedures are completed according to SOPs and LSOPs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: 2-5 years in a relevant role.
- Ability to comprehend budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in financial management.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, within the Marriott International team.
