About the Role: Arabic Language Expert

SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate and an AI Data Services company, is seeking an Arabic Language Expert. This fully remote, hourly paid contractor role involves reviewing AI-generated Arabic and English responses and generating high-quality bilingual training content. The position offers flexible work-from-anywhere hours and is open to candidates in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview and Contribution

The primary objective of this role is to enhance the accuracy, logical reasoning, and clarity of AI models. This involves evaluating the quality of AI responses, providing expert feedback to ensure accurate and clearly explained answers, and assessing solutions for clarity and adherence to prompts. The work directly contributes to improving premier AI models by providing essential training data for some of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation model labs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts in various topics and responses to guide AI learning, ensuring models reflect a comprehensive understanding of diverse subjects.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to enhance the model's accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI models for potential inaccuracies or biases, validating their reliability across use cases.
• Assess solutions for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts; identify errors in methodology or conceptual understanding.
• Fact-check information, write high-quality explanations and model solutions, and rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Linguistics, Translation, Arabic Language, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Native or near-native Arabic proficiency with strong writing and editing skills across Modern Standard Arabic and at least one major dialect; Egyptian Arabic is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply detailed rubrics consistently in high-volume, hourly contractor work.
• Strong fact-checking habits and comfort validating claims using reputable sources when required by task guidelines.
• Ability to identify reasoning gaps, methodological errors, and unclear explanations, even when language is fluent.
• Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment with reliable availability and communication.
• Preferred: Prior experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluation workflows.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Arabic localization conventions for MENA (terminology, formatting, cultural nuance).

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote, hourly paid contractor role with flexible work-from-anywhere hours. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment. The role is suitable for experts located in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
