About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an AsstMgr Systems to join our team in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. This full-time role is central to supporting the property's Information Resources (IR) objectives, encompassing all aspects of technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. The Assistant Manager will serve as a key interface between vendors, property owners, and staff, ensuring seamless technology operations.

Core Responsibilities

The AsstMgr Systems is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the property's technology infrastructure and applications. This includes providing direct support for client technology needs, managing various IT projects, ensuring compliance with established policies, and continuously applying and updating IR knowledge. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to operational excellence.

Technology Systems Management

• Utilize computer systems, hardware, and software for programming, data entry, and information processing.
• Assist in the acquisition, maintenance, and repair of property-based systems and equipment.
• Monitor computer and network operations, ensuring scheduled backup and recovery functions are performed.
• Administer and maintain hardware, operating systems, application systems, mail, and email services.
• Manage IT hardware and software inventories.
• Provide Internet support and maintenance, along with cable management support.
• Consult on specific application issues or hardware/software problems, offering technical expertise and support.

Project Oversight and Compliance

• Monitor processes and evaluate information in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOP).
• Ensure compliance with Information Resources (IR) policies and standards to protect company assets.
• Assist in the assessment of needs and monitor adherence to brand-specific technology standards.
• Aid in on-site monitoring of projects and asset management activities.
• Report and track problems, ensuring system users are consistently informed of progress and status.

Stakeholder Engagement and Technical Expertise

• Facilitate the introduction of new applications, providing user tips and alerting staff to system updates or problems.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers through various channels, including telephone, written form, email, and in-person.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve issues.
• Assist in vendor management for property IT requirements, serving as an escalation point for problem resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and apply new insights to work-related challenges.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in systems management and IT support. This role requires a strong understanding of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes, coupled with the ability to provide expert technical guidance and support within a dynamic hospitality environment.
