About the Opportunity

Salama Cooperative Insurance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Management Manager to join our team. This critical full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and plays a pivotal role in leading the organization's comprehensive data management and personal data protection initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to our commitment to data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Role Purpose

The Data Management Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s entire data management and personal data protection functions. This includes ensuring strict compliance with both NDMO and PDPL regulations, driving the overarching data governance strategy, and continuously enhancing data quality. Furthermore, this role is instrumental in fostering a robust, data-driven culture across all departments within the company, supporting informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement data governance and data protection initiatives across the organization.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, specifically the National Data Management Office (NDMO) guidelines and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
• Oversee and enhance data quality, classification, and security protocols to safeguard organizational data assets.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively across both business and IT departments to align data strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify potential risks, and proactively address data-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in data management, data governance, or a related domain.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong foundational knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in database management systems and data architecture concepts.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and influence teams.
• Proven skills in stakeholder management, including effective communication and collaboration with diverse groups.
