About the Emergency Medical Technician Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves providing critical pre-hospital and in-hospital patient care within a dynamic emergency medical services environment.

Role Summary

The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for responding to emergency calls, delivering essential pre-hospital and in-hospital patient care, and safely transporting patients to the Emergency Room. This role operates on a 24/7 basis under the direct supervision of the EMS Operations Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality pre-hospital and in-hospital patient care based on patient needs and approved medical protocols, under supervision.
  • Operate and maintain EMS vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness, performing shift-start vehicle checks, completing logbooks and checklists, and reporting malfunctions immediately.
  • Complete administrative and clinical tasks assigned by the Operations Supervisor/Manager, including accurate documentation of accidents, incidents, breakdowns, and defects.
  • Work collaboratively with EMS team members and other healthcare professionals, assisting in the orientation and development of EMS personnel and promoting a supportive environment.
  • Ensure safety measures for both patients and staff, maintaining personal cleanliness and ensuring the ambulance and equipment remain sanitized and organized.
  • Manage medical supplies properly to avoid wastage and participate in problem-solving to effectively manage limited resources.
  • Adhere strictly to the established privilege list, scope of authority, and approved medical protocols.
  • Drive ambulances safely for patient transport, accurately reading maps, following directions, and reporting any transportation delays or issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or higher in Emergency Medical Services or a related clinical emergency field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant emergency medical services role.

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Light Transport Driving License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS)
  • Valid SCFHS license for EMS profession
