About the Role

The Saudi Industrial Gas Company is seeking a Filling Shift Operator to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves critical operations related to the inspection, preparation, and filling of industrial gas cylinders, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre and post-filling inspections of cylinders, including visual checks, highlighting hydro test dates and working pressure, fixing stickers and tags, shrinking valve seals, and capping.
  • Execute cylinder filling procedures, which includes charging cylinders, connecting to manifolds, operating valves, checking temperature, and maintaining product quantity using pressure gauges or weighing balances.
  • Record cylinder details on full cylinder tags and failed tags for rejected cylinders.
  • Conduct daily checks and inspections of weighing balances, filling equipment, and vacuum pumps for oil levels, leaks, pipes, connections, adaptors, valves, and gauges; perform changes, repairs, or calibrations as needed with support from the maintenance team.
  • Maintain overall housekeeping standards within the production premises and environment.
  • Manage raw material issuance and arrangement from the warehouse plants.
  • Prepare and condition cylinders prior to filling.
  • Fill industrial gases according to provided work instructions and under the supervision of the plant manager or supervisor.
  • Maintain daily production equipment log sheets, daily equipment and safety checklists, and cylinder filling sheets.
  • Perform homogenization of gases and hand over to Quality Control.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar operational role.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines accurately.
  • Experience with industrial gas filling operations is preferred.
