About the Role
Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Fleet Lead, E-Commerce Fulfillment Operations to manage its delivery fleet. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods within our e-commerce fulfillment operations.
Role Purpose
The Fleet Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's delivery fleet to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant transportation of goods. This role focuses on maintaining safe and cost-effective fleet operations, adhering to all legal and company requirements. Key aspects include monitoring driver performance, managing vehicle maintenance schedules, and implementing strategies to optimize overall fleet efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely deliveries.
- Supervise a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
- Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet roadworthiness, safety, and minimal operational downtime.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics such as fuel efficiency, delivery times, and maintenance costs, implementing actions for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure all fleet operations comply with legal regulations, safety protocols, and company policies, including conducting regular safety checks and driver training.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Manage the fleet budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high service standards and identifying areas for savings.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including vehicle leasing companies, fuel suppliers, and maintenance service providers.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, fuel usage, and driver performance, preparing reports for management review.
- Provide ongoing training and development for drivers to equip them with necessary knowledge and skills.
Required Experience
Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in fleet management or logistics operations, preferably within an e-commerce or retail fulfillment environment. A proven track record in managing large delivery fleets and leading operational teams is essential.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position located in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage fleet operations and supervise the driver team.
